End of Year Deep Release: Yin Yoga & Sound Healing
Tibetan Sound Healing
with Phoebe Joel
3.00 - 5.30pm, Friday, 28th December
$55 pre-sale / $65 after 20 December
Join us for an end of year Yin Yoga and Tibetan Sound Healing experience designed to deeply detoxify the body, mind and nervous system. The asana sequence we will be working with will cleanse, nourish and strengthen the circulatory, digestive and lymphatic systems. It will also aid in the release of any pent up stress and ease emotional disharmony that may have accumulated over the course of the year. To further support the natural process of detoxification and regeneration within the body, and unfasten any physical, emotional and energetic congestion, Ancient Tibetan methods will be therapeutically employed using the resonate vibrations of Phoebe’s singing bowls to deepen and enhance the effects of the yoga asana. Expect to be bathed in sound and vibration throughout the session. The workshop will conclude with a guided meditation to mindfully release any habits, behaviours and beliefs that you do not wish to carry into the New Year.
This end of year deep release is a must if you:
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat.
Yin Yoga Level: Intermediate. Students new to Yin Yoga are welcome but will be encouraged to hold challenging poses for shorter lengths of time. Variations and alternate poses will also be offered to ensure all attendees enjoy the therapeutic benefits of the practice.

In order to fully integrate yoga in to your life and to feel a genuine difference in your life yoga really needs to be practiced regularly, i.e. more than twice a week. For this reason this course will take place over three weeks, on Monday and Wednesday evenings, with some home practice to take with you for homework. In this way, by the time you have completed the course you will have complete confidence to attend our regular group classes.
Each week we will run through a beginners sequence and will have a special focus on one of the below listed topics. Your teacher will offer appropriate variations depending on your mobility and strength, as well as accommodating any injuries or issues you may be having within the practice.
About Nadia Stinga Rihani
Nadia is honoured to be a Level 2 Authorised Ashtanga teacher, and was given her blessing to teach this method by Sharath Jois in 2014 after practicing yoga since 1999 and the Ashtanga method for ten years. Yoga has had a profound impact of Nadia's life and has carried her through the extreme highs and lows over the years, providing a sense of stability and grounding, including through pregnancy the the birth of her and Gabriels daughter, Indhira. Now practicing Advanced A from the Ashtanga Series, Nadia shares her experience in the traditional Mysore Style classes as taught to her through her teacher, Sharath Jois.
Nadia first found the yoga mat whilst studying at university and really felt changed by the practice when she began daily practice in her first job after completing her studies.
After living in the USA, Italy and Portugal Nadia returned home and discovered the Ashtanga method which she found life changing. She completed her teacher training and apprenticeship in 2009 and after many years of study Nadia left her corporate career to focus on teaching. In 2011 founded Yoga Village with the intention of creating an authentic and traditional space in which students could practice and teachers could facilitate their learnings.
Since 2010 Nadia has travelled to India each year for intensive self study and practice, from which she sources inspiration for her teaching and life.
Nadia is extremely grateful to be walking on this path and to be able to share the joy and pain of a sincere yoga practice with her students.
