Beginning September 16th Yoga Village is running a 6 Week Yoga Challenge that involves weekly Workshops, A commitment of 2 - 3 practices per week and a Healthy Eating Meal Plan!


The Program

Yoga Practitioners feels the most benefits when they commit to 3-4 practices per week and also commit to healthy eating. Making the commitment to this plan is difficult at first for most people so we have decided to put together a program whereby we can keep each other motivated! We will check in weekly as a group to see where we are all at and to help hold ourselves accountable for our commitment. The commitment we require to participate in this program is:


Attending a Weekly Workshop for 6 weeks, held on Sundays at 10:30am (for one hour)

These workshops are only for those who are participating in the challenge and will have a different focus each week. They are tailored to those who are in the group (from beginners to advanced) to ensure everyone is approaching their practice in a safe way and also to ensure each person is progressing forward in their practice. Each week we will give you ideas of things to work on in your regular classes that you will be attending each week. We will cover breathing, Sun Salutes, Standing Poses, Seated Poses, Arm Balances, Inversions and Back bends. These workshops will be facilitated by Nadia Stinga Rihani, the founder and Director of Yoga Village who has been practicing since 1998 and been teaching since 2008. 


Attending 2-3 Regular Yoga Classes per week

This is where you get to apply the content from the workshops! Participants will commit to 2-3 yoga practices per week and can choose from the classes on the schedule. We suggest you plan your weeks as much as possibly, book the classes in and then keep committed to it by making a promise to yourself! If you need to travel during this period you can use up your classes at a later date but need to let us know beforehand, in which case you need to commit to doing a short home practice whilst you are away (we will send you a video class to do at home). 


Committing to eating healthily for the duration of the six weeks

You will receive a menu plan with easy recipes to make at home. Please stick to it as much as possible! When we eat better our mind and body feel clearer and lighter and it makes physical exercise much easier!
